Beautifully Strategic™ Clarity Intensive

For founders and leaders who need clarity on what should come next before investing further in their brand identity, website, marketing or offer.

Make the strategic decisions before you make the creative ones.

The website no longer sounds quite like you. An offer that once felt simple has become harder to explain. Marketing requires fresh decisions every time because the language, ideas, and creative direction underneath it are not yet working from the same clear idea. Or perhaps you are building something new and want to make the important decisions before investing in a name, identity, website, photography, copy, or campaign.

The Beautifully Strategic™ Clarity Intensive helps you see your business more fully — what it is becoming, what makes it worth choosing, and how that should shape the words, offers, visuals, and decisions that come next.

Together, we clarify what you are building, why it matters, and which decisions will help every part of the business belong to the same love story. You leave with a clear strategic direction and a grounded roadmap for the business you’re truly building, including what should guide the next round of creative work, what to do first, and what not to spend time or money on yet.

This is for the moment before the next big decision.

Most founders and leaders come because something important is asking to be decided.

Should the website change, or is it trying to solve a positioning or messaging problem that design alone cannot fix? Is the offer itself unclear, or is the way it is named, organized, and presented making it harder to understand and choose? Is the marketing really the problem, or is it being asked to carry a story, message, and creative direction no longer aligned with the business? Why does it all feel so hard?

This is the moment the Clarity Intensive is built for: when you are close enough to know something needs to shift, but maybe too inside the business to see the smartest next move on your own.

Before you spend more time, money, or energy redesigning, rewriting, or marketing around the symptom, we help you find the strategic decision the creative work is waiting for. When the strategy is unclear, the website, copy, design, offers, and marketing all have to compensate for it. The Clarity Intensive creates a considered pause before the next investment, so the next creative, strategic, or marketing decision is made in the right order and for the right reason.

WANT TO LEARN MORE?

What sets Candice apart isn’t just her design sense, though her command of color, energy, and visual identity is genuinely exceptional, it's her ability to see into the soul of a brand (and the person behind it) before they’ve even articulated it themselves. She has this rare gift for knowing what you need before you do, and then delivering it with an attention to detail that makes the final result feel both surprising and completely inevitable.

Her approach to branding and marketing is grounded in something I deeply respect: honesty. She’s not interested in manufactured hype or manipulation — she builds brands around true identity and genuine community. Her strategic thinking is sharp, her aesthetic POV is distinctive, and her philosophy is grounded in humanity.

We find the part that needs to become clear.

The place that needs clarity is different for every business.

Some need clearer positioning. Some need a stronger message. Some need help understanding why the offer isn’t landing or why the marketing feels harder than it should. Some are simply growing into something new. During the intensive, we look at the places where the business becomes real to other people — how it is explained, how it feels, and how easily the right people can understand and choose it. Rather than reviewing the brand in isolation, we look at the strategic choices shaping how the business is understood and experienced, which takes us deeper than a traditional brand audit.

Depending on what you bring to the work, this may include:

Positioning

How people currently understand what you do, who it is for, what makes it meaningfully different, and whether that positioning is strong enough to guide the message and creative work around it.

Messaging

What your business may need to say more clearly, what language feels true and distinctive, and how that message should begin shaping the way the business sounds and presents itself.

Offers

How your services, products, packages, or experiences are organized, named, and presented, and where their structure or expression may be making them harder to understand and choose.

Website

What your website is currently communicating, where the visible problem may point to a deeper issue with your positioning, message, offer, or priorities, and what needs to be decided before you invest in redesigning or search-optimizing it.

Marketing

What your marketing has been trying to say, whether the strategy and creative idea underneath it are strong enough to support it, and what would give future content, campaigns, and outreach a more coherent direction.

Brand Expression

How the words, visuals, tone, offers, and customer-facing details work together to create a feeling, and where they are currently telling different stories about the business.

Bring what exists. We’ll find the way forward.

The Clarity Intensive is built to be focused, thoughtful, and easy to move through. You don't need to show up with everything organized (most people come in for the opposite reason).

We start with what exists — not only to see what is unclear, but to notice what is already true, valuable, and worth building from — and look at it as both strategy and expression.

That might be your website, social presence, emails, customer feedback, or a few examples of things you're drawn to. If your business is newer, it might just be notes, sketches, inspiration or the thoughts you haven't been able to sort out yet. We’re looking not only for what the materials say, but for the ideas, choices, and feeling they are already pointing toward.

You share these things in whatever form they take and from there, we meet for a 90-minute working session. This is where we talk through what you are building, what has changed, what is not landing, and what decision you are trying to make next. I will ask questions, surface the meaningful distinctions, organize the pieces, and connect what the business is trying to become with how it needs to be positioned, explained, and expressed for people to understand what you do, trust why it matters, and choose you without hesitation. After the session, I step back and consider not only what makes strategic sense, but what will feel true to the business and meaningful to the people it is meant for.

You’ll get a written Clarity Roadmap with the findings, and recommendations that matter most, including direction you can use to brief the designers, writers, developers, photographers, or marketing partners who may come next. You’ll walk away with a calmer, clearer sense of what comes next, and a direction strong enough to guide the creative work, investment, and collaborators that follow.

This is for founders and leaders whose next move matters too much to guess.

The Clarity Intensive works especially well if you're:

  • Getting ready for a new website, rebrand, campaign, launch, or next chapter.

  • Trying to explain a business that's gotten richer, more layered, or just harder to describe.

  • Feeling like your marketing takes way more effort than it should for what it returns.

  • Starting something new and wanting to make smart calls from day one.

  • Reworking your offers, services, customer experience, or positioning.

  • Wondering whether you need a strategist, designer, copywriter, developer, photographer, or marketing partner — and what should come first.

  • Looking for an outside perspective from someone who can see both the business and the feeling behind it.

This is for founders and leaders who care about what they're building and want it clearer, more coherent, and easier for the right people to choose.

I THINK I’M READY

Some answers to your questions.

What is “strategy” and why is it so important?

Strategy is the thinking before the making — the clear answer to who you serve, what you stand for, and why someone picks you over the business next door. Every decision after it (your colors, voice, homepage, ad copy…) gets faster, cheaper, and more effective. Businesses that skip strategy pay for it later in rebrands and rewrites, and in campaigns that don't convert because they were never aimed at anyone in particular. We do the strategy first because everything else works better once it exists.

Do I have to understand what brand strategy even is?

You’re the expert in your business and have already been doing strategy work, whatever label we give it. Use the words that make the most sense to you and we’ll understand.

Is the Clarity Intensive a brand audit?

A traditional brand audit usually focuses on how your brand is currently showing up. The Clarity Intensive looks at those things in context. We’ll consider the strategy behind them — your positioning, offers, messaging, audience, and creative direction — then identify what needs attention now and what should happen next.

What if this work creates as many questions as it answers?

That can be a great outcome. It means the business may not yet be ready for investment in other creative work — the clearer the foundation, the more aligned and effective the offers, words, visuals, website, and marketing can be.

I’m feeling vulnerable in all this. How will you make me comfortable?

Listening and collaborating compassionately is one way we naturally differentiate ourselves from other “consultants”. You will be respected as the expert in what you do, and we will act as the expert facilitator sharing what we see from the outside. We ask before we assume. This is your story — we're just here to help you tell it well.

Is this just a strategy call?

The 90-minute working session is one part of it, but the intensive also includes intake, material review, strategic synthesis, and a written roadmap. You're paying for a real strategic diagnosis and a clear plan for what happens next.

Why not just jump into design? We’re ready.

If you’re ready, we’re happy to guide creative direction and make connections with other collaborators. Almost every client who’s hired us for design work was missing a clear strategy to make sure the creative work amplified a solid plan. This is exactly why this intensive exists.

How will I be able to use the roadmap?

Use the roadmap to make clearer decisions about your offers, messaging, identity, marketing, or other next investment. It can help guide your own next steps or decide what kind of support you might need next. The roadmap will tell you how to use it.

How do I know if I’m a good fit for this work?

This isn't the right fit if you want a quick logo, a full website build, a complete brand identity, or a done-for-you marketing plan in a week. It's also not for anyone looking for a stack of generic content ideas, growth hacks, or a louder version of what already exists. The Clarity Intensive is about the work underneath the visible work: the thinking that should happen before you spend any more money on design or marketing.

How much time do I need to set aside?

You'll need time for the intake, gathering materials, the 90-minute session, and reviewing the roadmap. Most clients spend 3-4 hours total.

What happens after I book?

You'll get a short intake form and instructions for sharing your materials. Once we have that, we'll confirm your session time and start the review.

Do I need to have an existing business?

This works for newer businesses and established ones. If you're just starting out, we work from your ideas, notes, early offers, inspiration, and goals.

Do I need a website already?

A website can help, but it's not required. If you don't have one yet, this can clarify what your website should say, what it needs to do, and what should get decided before you spend money on design or development.

Will I receive final copy?

You might get messaging direction, language recommendations, positioning notes, and suggested phrases. While this isn't a full copywriting engagement, that can be a next step if you need complete website copy, sales page copy, email copy, or a full messaging guide.

Will you design my website or brand identity?

The Clarity Intensive helps define the direction before design or redesign starts. If you want creative direction or help finding creative partners afterward, we can talk about what that looks like, be it independent collaborators or an internal team.

Can my team join?

Yes, if that's useful. For most businesses, one or two decision-makers works best. If you've got a bigger team or need deeper internal alignment, our leadership facilitation is probably a better fit.

Have another question?

READY?

Then what?

For some, the intensive is enough. You walk away knowing what's working, what's confusing, and what to do next — then hand the roadmap to whoever's building it, whether that's your team or a trusted designer, copywriter, developer, or photographer.

For others, it's the first step: a fuller brand strategy engagement, creative direction, or ongoing advisory with Smitten.

Either way, there's no pressure to keep going. This work exists to help you make the smartest next move — with Smitten, with someone else, or on your own.

Why hire us for this work?

Candice spent 15+ years in corporate roles, both creative and technical, staff and executive (as a creative costumer, as an IT executive, and lots in between), at companies like Gap, Disney, and Sony Pictures. That range means she's seen how a business breaks down or thrives at every layer.

She started running mastermind groups at Sony, then brought the practice to business owners directly — work she's continued as an independent consultant for almost two decades. She founded her own award-winning small business for 13 years. She's not diagnosing your business from theory but from experience with other people's businesses, and her own. And she approaches the work with an eye for results and a heart for people.

That's why the intensive works: it's not a framework applied to you. It's years of pattern-recognition and paths forward, aimed at your business for a 10-day sprint.

Ready for the next decision to feel clearer?

If you're about to invest in a website, a brand, a campaign, an offer, or a whole next chapter — this is where you start.

The Beautifully Strategic™ Clarity Intensive helps you see what's unclear, what matters most, and what to do next, before you spend more time, money, or energy heading the wrong way.
